Hanger bolts have threaded areas at both ends and are ideal for tie-wire or overhead applications such as hanging sheet metal, fixtures, or suspended electrical wiring. Hanger bolts consist of a lag screw thread at one end and a machine screw thread at the other. Dowel screws are similar to hanger bolts but have a lag screw thread on both ends.
